Ben Yates Photography and Innovation
As a photographer who started in the trade with the digital revolution, I bring something original with my pictures that isn't just a simple print in a frame. I have used minature digital photoframes, put pictures in the bark of trees, and developed my own niche called 'Photo-Cubism' - the 3-dimensional representation of the 2-dimensional image. These can mosaic-type pieces or and single disintegrated picture.
I have also been spending plenty of time working on large installations using recycled computer circuitry and other electronics - put together in the form of a cityscape with an integrated lighting system. These installations are contained inside a glass and acrylic coffee table - a practical piece of furniture to boot!
My work is new and intricate, yet simple, vibrant and young.
