Museums in Motion: Project at British Schools Museum

MUSEUMS IN MOTION

A project managed by BEEE Creative CIC and delivered by makeAMPLIFY, supported by money raised by National Lottery players and awarded to the project by Heritage Lottery Fund.

• Take part in a 3-day mixed arts project
• Work with three professional artists
• See your work turned into a new installation for British Schools Museum

Twelve young people aged between 10 – 18 years old are needed to work with professional artists, makeAMPLIFY (dancer Jennifer Irons and audio-visual artist Zach Walker) to make a new installation for British Schools Museum. The project will include movement/dance and sound/film recordings to explore the heritage behind mobile phone functions. The artists will use your movements and the film footage you capture to create a film installation that will be set up in the museum for the general public to visit!

WHEN?: Workshops: 12, 13 & 14 February, 10am – 4pm
(please note that you will need to attend all three days)

Installation launch: Friday 2 March at 5.30pm

WHERE?: British Schools Museum, 41-42 Queen Street, Hitchin, Herts SG4 9TS
