Description
We are seeking expressions of interest from dance practitioners to work on a funded initial research and development period, but who are also interested in joining us to deliver potential future projects for children, young people and families in the Royston and Stevenage (Hertfordshire) areas from May 2021.

We are looking for two freelance dance practitioners who will be responsible for working in collaboration with us to research and develop performance/workshops suitable for delivery in early years and community settings. The post-holder will work with staff from BEEE Creative and other partner artists alongside our newly commissioned dance and animation piece – ‘In the Beginning’ and/or a dance and photography project – ‘Dancing with Light’.

A-MUSE is a programme of arts activities for families and adults that currently includes, dance workshops for families and adults with Royston and Stevenage Museums, on-line dance classes and exhibitions, a dance and animation commission and a dance and photography commission. The research and development project will explore museum collections and heritage themes through participation in creative activities and will explore potential future models of engagement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• To collaborate with the A-MUSE team to plan activity from conception to trial delivery of a new dance performance/workshop package, with artistic duties including planning and preparation of workshop material, developing ideas for future production.
• To take the lead during the trial workshop/residency delivery that connects children and families to learning and heritage through creativity and imagination.
• To undertake monitoring and evaluation of project work in accordance with the evaluation framework.
• To contribute to the marketing and publicity of the project through proactive social media activity.
• To attend meetings with the team as laid out in the schedule, relating to the planning, delivery and production of the project activities.
• Such other duties and responsibilities as required as appropriate to the post.
