ArtsMatrix wishes to recruit two new Board Members

ArtsMatrix is the skills and enterprise development agency for creative professionals in the South West. We enable arts and creative industries professionals to develop skills to make the most of their careers. Our services include one-to-one professional development planning, business and organisational consultancy, skills audits, sector specific seminars, and training programmes.

Our vision is a creative sector in which talent flourishes and a region where individual potential translates into creative and commercial success. Our mission is to foster a highly skilled creative workforce equipped to sustain a living in the arts and creative industries.

ArtsMatrix is a social enterprise with a staffing complement of eleven working across the region, our role is to provide, directly and through partnership, a programme of services that develops skills, encourages enterprise, nurtures creative talent and improves access to learning opportunities.

To complement our existing Board of six, we are seeking two new Board members, including someone interested in taking the Treasurer role, to contribute to our future planning and development.

Potential candidates should have an empathy and understanding of the creative sector, be dynamic and motivated, and bring a strong commitment to support ArtsMatrix’s vision. We are actively seeking expertise in one or more of the following specific areas:

• Finance
• Diversity and Disability
• Workforce development
• Fundraising
• Commercial expertise

Please note that the Treasurer role attracts an honorarium of £150 per month (as does the Chair), to recognise the additional time commitment required.

Terms and Conditions: Unpaid (Expenses only). Honorarium of £150 per month for Chair and Treasurer. Six board meetings a year, held in Exeter. Detailed roles and responsibilities will be sent as part of the board recruitment pack.
