Exhibition launch: The Big Draw at Artistsmeet

The Big Draw exhibition kicks off at Artistsmeet on Thursday 1st October with a colourful display of illustration, prints, papercuts and work inspired by storytelling. Seven inspiring artists and illustrators are participating in the show, which is geared towards children, young people and families.

On Wednesday 7th October from 4 - 6pm there will be an official launch celebration, where Artistsmeet will be joined by some of the featured artists as well as children, families and teachers from St Peter’s C of E School in Mill End.
A collection of decorated tiles designed and painted by 30 of their Year.6 pupils are to be unveiled at the event, which form the initial part of an ongoing project between the school, Three Rivers District Council and Berry Lane Art Group. The tiles will remain in the exhibition and later in the year a mural containing one selected design will also be unveiled at the venue.

Regulars to the gallery and new visitors are encouraged to come along and join in the fun at the launch, refreshments will also be provided making it a perfect pit stop on the way home from school!
