I'm Dan Coleborn, I am currently studying for a BA in Fine Arts at the University of Chichester. I like to think I am an ambitious artist, driven mainly by a love for art itself as well as my rather ambitious plans for my future. I work hard, even if at times I do need an initial push ... No, nudge to get the ball rolling in the right direction. Once rolling I will continue working until I have at least some form of a final outcome that I am happy with.

I have three biggest fears as an artist:
1. That I will never make it as a practicing artist (More a generic view than a fear, but it won't stop me trying)
2. That I will not be taken seriously as an artist.
3. That I will unknowingly and all so suddenly become a "predictable" artist.

My main aim for the next two years of my degree is to grow as an artist. I want to reach a point where I find that I am shocking myself with both my ideas and the physical work I am creating. I see no point in being controversial for the sake of it, however, I always hope to create work that makes an impact and gets a reaction, whatever the reaction might be.

Before starting at the University of Chichester I would have described myself as a varied artist, concentrating most on drawing and "traditional" arts. Although I would still refer to myself as a varied artist sculpture has begun to play a key role in my development as an artist. I am an emotive artist and I especially like to create work about unpleasant emotions, such as anger and terror. My latest art has surprised a lot of people to my normal, general happiness.

Whilst I do concentrate most of my time working on Art pieces, I am also passionate about literature, and writing it in particular. I have currently completed one full length novel, and I am working on my second.

I have a lot of plans for my future.
I want to make a difference.

I have two websites (both are under construction at the moment).
